Currently one can only make changes to sets and classes to take effect immediately. Allowing one to make changes in advance would be very beneficial. Or to allow class/set enrolments for specific date ranges would also help.
I am often asked to make set changes to be active after the first half-term, when we have sometimes set pupils based on external data and we realise that the original setting might not have been correct.
Sometimes changes are requested after major testing - typically during a reporting cycle at the end of a term or half-term - and I can't move the pupils until after the reports have been published.
Either way the data normally has to be changed during holidays, although not always between terms.
I think Curriculum Manager may accommodate this; however, could we get a bit more detail in the comments regarding what changes you typically make and the timelines involved? Are you referring to making changes during the current term ahead of the next term?
