We often have events which need the Timetable to be suspended for part of a day, e.g. One year group for the afternoon. We can then use 'spare' teachers to cover lessons.
Would like to support this - we're just rerooming classrooms away from our Main Hall for our Remembrance Services and would be great to be able to suspend year groups for specific timetable periods. E.g. suspend Y12 & Y13 timetable for Period 2 and reroom Y7-Y11 classes into their now available classrooms.
Absolutely. This would be useful for school trips and internal events, and would make it much easier to allocate cover to staff who would have been teaching a year group but are freed up. Ideally it would even prioritise those staff in the cover algorithm.
A new cover manager started at our school and within the first week she crossed this need 2 times already. Big upvote from our end.
