Managing GCSE/A level registration is an extraordinarily complex task during the summer exam period. We mark all or 5th and U6th Pupils as on Study Leave from May to the end of the academic year, but we need to change that mark on the days/times they are in for an exam. There is currently no easy way to do this at all as OOS requires a start and end date, then you need to amend the end date to the date before so you can mark a pupil in, then set up a new block etc etc. This is not feasible for every pupil in 2 year groups. The other option is to do this manually day by day, which is also not easy as you need to know what pupils are in for what exam and then manually mark all those in and then all those not in. Future absence looks like it has the potential to work, but for the fact that it will only allow you to swap out a code for another absent code and also you can't do it on the day.
Please look at making administering registers for exam periods easier.
