A reporting module that allows a Data Manager to define specific fields for extraction from the database is essential. Such reporting engines are available in other MIS platforms, such as Bromcom and SIMS, and are not limited to assessment data alone.
Data output is just as critical as data input. If users are unable to easily extract meaningful information from the database, there is little incentive for them to invest time in entering accurate and comprehensive data in the first place.
