Each term we generate attendance data for all pupils and those in various groups. We can easily do this using the attendance summary reports and select from the options there for male, female, ethnic groups and send. However, there is currently no option on that page to select pupil premium and not pupil premium to allow comparison (rather than comparing to all pupils). It is great that there is the option to select the groups with persistent and severely persistent absence too.
The other issue is that this year we were late in getting the data for the end of last term (staffing issues and obviously our fault but these things happen) - this was then a huge issue as we had to have Ben Galambos' support to do a 'work around' so that we could generate the required reports with last years pupil only. It was a headache (but thanks to Ben we managed to get some data). However, there was no way to actually get the correct pupil premium/not pupil premium from the vulnerable group reporting as you cannot recover the former year 6 children and the custom group that we generated for last year's cohort couldn't be accessed from vulnerable group report either:(
It would be good if when you are selecting a previous years attendance report (including the various vulnerable groups mentioned above) that the system automatically includes only those pupils that were on school roll at that time - and that the pupil premium and not pupil premium as pupil features as standard would also be brilliant.
Sorry for long post - thank you for reading :)
