We create a gradebook master per subject of each year group for an academic year. As all the reporting structures are the same when we come to map the next academic years future data we have to delete all the previous year mappings before creating new mappings.
Could there be a way of making the mappings unique to each academic year to avoid clashes, or a way of bulk archiving the mappings when the gradebooks are archived?
or an option to bulk delete the mappings on the rollover?
Hello,
Thank you for your feedback. We are currently finalizing the development of a report tagging configuration area within the Gradebook module. This is the first step in a larger initiative to integrate report tagging with the Curriculum Manager module.
In Curriculum Manager, you'll be able to create and manage Gradebooks for multiple classes within a templating area (which could be any grouping, Year Subject etc.) . Our goal is to extend the report tagging configuration from the Gradebook to Curriculum Manager, so that these tags are automatically applied to all Gradebooks on a column-by-column basis. For example, if you have a particular column that is important for reporting purposes, you can apply a tag to that column. Systems like Reports Manager and Central will then be able to capture this for end-user reports and Power BI analytics. This will allow you to report on the column itself while maintaining flexibility with naming conventions that are more user-friendly.
Please let me know if this approach would address your concerns, or if you have any further feedback. Curriculum Manager is on track to be released for beta testing in the next couple of months, and we hope these features will meet the requirements you're looking to address.
Many thanks
Shawn
