Pulling data from Gradebooks to Central

In any school, your biggest data entry point is arguably academic grades and grading. Therefore it is imperative that that academic data (either from gradebooks or reports wizard) is pulled through to Central for PowerBI and analytics. MS Teams do it incredibly effectively with their Gradebook functionality and as a teacher it is vital to be able to track student progress.

    Hi Natalie

I cant comment directly on Central as my work with Curriculum and Assessments however the work associated to this Idea is allowing users via Curriculum Manager to allocate Term Grades. We have released a feature where Curriculum Manager term grades are automatically sent to Central with an association to Year Group, Subject and Cycle/School Year.

I am currently working on a follow up feature we are hoping to start in the next 6 month, which will be a new module to import and manage external data. This will be the first step to either replacing or rewriting Tracking Manager with an analytics section in Gradebooks to offer something more raw in iSAMS to compliment the more curated and polished views in Central.

I would reach out to your Account Manager to get more detail on what views we surface in Central currently.

Please do reply if you have any further questions

    Thanks

    Shawn

Is it currently the case that you cannot pull data from reports wizard, tracking manger or gradebooks into central ? We were advised that you could pull 'anything' from 'any module' into central, we are new customers and are in the process of setting up central now.

We are currently planning a method to allocate your "reportable columns" in gradebooks, which can then be leverage by Reports Manager and also be synced to Central.

We are also planning integration with Microsoft to populate classes and also import assessment values entered into Microsoft into Gradebooks for use Reporting. We will be reaching out to schools in the next 6 months to plan this integration.
