We have noticed that once Gradebooks have been archived, which is the reasonable process to do after rolling over every year. The report mapping to previous/historical report cycles are removed. This means that all gradebook data is removed from student profiles and report printing which essentially means that there is no access to previous academic history for students which is an entirely flawed system (borderline not educational). It is imperative for teachers to be able to effectively track student academic progress over time.

We're currently discussing an important topic based on the feedback received from schools. There are two main types of reviews that schools need easier access to, both in real-time and historically.
Centralization of Gradebook Data: Schools are looking for a more efficient way to centralize Gradebook data for reference purposes during the school year. This would help in observing basic trends, identifying missing data, etc.
Simplified and Repeatable Analytics: It's crucial for schools to have the ability to easily sift through outcomes created in Gradebooks. This will aid in tracking performance and progress over time.
We're actively working on methods to improve real-time sourcing and referencing of live gradebooks this year. Additionally, we're exploring ways to enhance the role of the Gradebook as a primary source of data for long-term tracking and outcomes. The feedback we've received clearly outlines the direction we are actively pursuing. We are optimistic about making significant progress in these areas in the next 6 to 12 months.

I totally agree with this. This basically means that we need to create an external archive of the grade data in order for our staff to be able to reference it. We need the data available, as we often need to evaluate students over multiple years, and create multi year grade transcripts for students who are applying to other educational institutes.
