Following a ticket I raised concerning pupils with hidden lessons on their timetables but shown as unregistered in Day View and Week View. Info from iSAMS below - our Admin staff use Day and Week View to give quick overviews of unregistered pupils so by not having the functionality in Day or Week View means that pupils are shown as unregistered even though they are not actually attending the lesson.
We have now heard back from the development team regarding this query and can confirm that the functionality is working as designed, and in the way the registers are created in the database and filtered into the User Interface.
Essentially, The registers are built up of three main areas in the backend:
• The actual register (Showing the date, time, period)
• Pupil Reg record which is prepopulated every evening ready for the next day
• Assigned Group to the pupil
When a lesson is hidden, the assigned group to the pupil is removed (See point 3 above).
In 'Take a Register, you select the period, then you select the group (Point 1 and 2 above are valid) but point 3 is now removed hence why they are not visible.
However, from the day/week view tabs, you do not choose a lesson/period, you only choose the day and thus does not take into account point 3.
